Qualified military can take advantage of home buyer tax credits for another year.

Qualified military can take advantage of home buyer tax credits for another year. A legislative provision targeting active members of the military, Foreign Service and intelligence communities provides those buyers with an additional year of eligibility. The provision only applies to home buyers in the above mentioned groups who have served on official extended duty for 90 days or more outside the U.S. from Jan 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010.

SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS WITH EVERY HOME

Caviness and Cates is proud to announce our commitment to supporting our community and its military families. Presenting The Homefront Project: our pledge to donate a portion of our sales from each and every home we sell in 2010 to help raise funds for the men and women of our military and their families.

Why are we doing this? As a leading home builder in the Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune areas, we believe we have an obligation to our military families who depend on help from charitable organizations. Fayetteville alone has over 50,000 military families who work tirelessly to keep our country safe.

Our selected charity is The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a national leader in supporting our Armed Forces and their families. This fund provides financial support for the dependents of U.S. military personnel lost in performance of their duty. Following the United States involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, the need for support has greatly increased and this effort was expanded to the public to help generate the growing need for funds.
